The Islamic Center for PEACE presents:

• A basic course on Islamic beliefs and how they govern Muslim lives
• Presented directly by Muslims without the misleading influence of the media

 You’ve heard plenty about us. Now it’s time to hear from us. 

Every lecture will be followed by equal time for questions and answers.

- Sources for Islamic laws and creeds

2. Class 2     

- The Quran (God’s last revelation to mankind)

3. Class 3     

- Mohammad (God’s last prophet and messenger)                        

4. Class 4        

- Islamic History

- Islamic civilizations and contributions

5. Class 5        

- The role and status of women in Islam

- Past and modern roles of women in Islamic societies

6. Class 6        

- Main branches of Islam (Sunni, Shi’a…)

- Islamic views of other religions

- Islam and the “clash of civilizations” (Jihad, Fatwa...)

Times of Presentations:   6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Islamic Center for PEACE and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Naples Regional Library.
