On Sunday August 24, 2008 Imam Mohamed Al-Darsani and Pastor Reza Safa
participated in a Historical Debate concerning the message of Islam and
Christianity. The debate was hosted at the Assembly of God Church in
Fort Myers and was attended by an enormous and gracious audience.
The debate titled the message of Islam vs. the message of Christianity
was carried live on WRXY TV, Streamed Live via the internet on
WRXYTV.com, Wink News Radio, and numerous other Christian Radio
stations.
The Islamic Center for PEACE would like to thank Pastor Dan Betzer for
his kindness, hospitality, and friendship. Leading up to this debate he
opened his heart and insisted on treating members of the Islamic Center
for PEACE with the utmost respect and kindness.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Paul Lodato for
organizing and insuring that this debate took place.
His hard work was displayed by
the awesome presentation and the flawless execution of the night’s
events.
Our Moderator, host of the highly popular morning talk radio show ‘Day
Break’, did an outstanding job in both maintaining order and
objectivity. Her presence was truly appreciated.
Pastor Reza Safa traveled from Tulsa, Oklahoma to participate in this
event. We want to thank him for his participation and his involvement.
While he and Imam Al-Darsani have differing points of view both men were
respectful of each other.
Finally, and most importantly, thank you, the audience, for being
respectful, understanding, and our friends.
