Our Mission...

The mission of the Islamic Center for PEACE is to promote Islam among the general public and to foster a healthy community for local Muslims through community involvement and activism.

With PEACE as our watch word we seek to educate our community in such a manner that they will become active and productive members of our society.

It is of the utmost importance for all humanity to have a healthy spiritual life. We facilitate this for local Muslims by providing a place of worship and by actively seeking to educate the general public about Islam by building bridges with inter-faith programs and community outreach programs.

We have had great success and have cooperated with many churches and Temple Beth El of Fort Myers to build bridges of understanding. We are also members of the Fort Myers Ministerial Association which meets monthly and also conducts community activities.

Our main goal is and always will be to spread the Universal Message of Islam through peaceful community and interfaith involvement.

We use the acronym PEACE as follows

• Progress: Create an atmosphere to grow spiritually, intellectually, and morally.

• Education: provide programs designed to promote the authentic knowledge of Islam

• Awareness: To establish personal purpose and mission towards improving one’s faith.

• Cooperation: Cooperate with all faiths and the local community while working to establish Peace, Justice, Equality, Prosperity, Community Service, and Integration.

• Enlightenment: Provide a median to elevate the human spirit with the intent of realizing its purpose and destiny by instilling spiritual discipline by focusing on and emphasizing the spiritual purification of the followers of Islam. We wish to establish and maintain educational programs that enhance the authentic knowledge of Islam based on the Quran and Suna. As well as establish interfaith programs to educate non Muslims about Islam.
